The ‘In’ Crowd

‘Us’ speaks of people in general.  Whilst God made Himself available to all mankind, to all people in general, it is the specific people who accept Him who benefit from His greatest gift .  If you can be counted in this people you are of the blessed and highly favoured.  Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.   Ps 107

What’s in your Hand

All talk The Israelites rattled their sabres from a safe distance but David faced the giant with a stone in his hand. As Moses lifted his staff God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites and closed it to defeat her foes. What’s in your hand? ‘Let the high praises of God be in (your) mouth And a two-edged sword in (your) hand. There is no greater power than the mighty Word! Ps 149:6/ Rev. 19:15

If you Give God the Glory you get the Honour.

Joseph is the perfect example of a man who prospered despite adversity. So great was his trust in God he was even able to generously  absolve his brothers from the guilt of dealing treacherously with him by saying,  ‘Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good,’ Gen 50:20 He was able to see that if we trust God He is more than able to turn ALL things to good. (Rom 8:28) Add to this his refusal to take any glory for himself. He attributed all his successes to God. Are you in need of a miracle? Are you standing in a situation so impossible only God can change it? Do you need a miracle NOW? Perhaps that miracle doesn’t manifest because we do not live in the ‘now’ moment. We are so prepossessed by the past, hanging onto broken hopes and dreams, that it is difficult for God to give us what is needed for now! Or we are so preoccupied with the future, we are ignoring now, refusing to deal with now.
