Watching and Waiting

To see an aeroplane cross the sky Holds little wonder for the man of today. Yet what would ancient man have thought? He would have reflected more on rolling clouds And seen the Hand of God And given God the glory. Blinded by the Light

He splits the sky And stirs up the waters The mountains tremble Trees bow To His majestic wind Yet man can fail to see His wonders written In the stars And stumbles in his own created darkness Instead of seeing the  illumination of His brilliant light. Ps 78:10-17

Waiting

The fisherman sits silently beside the bank prepared to wait for his catch. The sailor waits in harbour For the storm to subside. The dog waits watching at the window for the master to return. The lonely stranger walks the streets wondering if anyone will smile. And all the time they are being watched And wooed And waited for. “I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’ Isaiah 65:1

God’s Painting Palette

The sky seems permanently draped with blue/grey hues with no expected break When suddenly for no apparent  reason there is a streak of pink And  hope returns with unlimited possibilities as the palette is extended To include another realm. Rom. 1:20

Battle Plan

I am breaking form and writing a personal blog following last weeks ‘Win not Spin’ blog. I have felt led to share how I am trying to practice what I preach! One of my targets this year (what the world calls New Year’s Resolutions!) was to daily commit to 3 areas of interest for me. Writing and Reading, two old ones, and a new found love, Art!
