Law v Grace

Are you up against something you can’t cope with? Something bigger than you feel you have the resources for? Something testing you beyond your natural endurance or capabilities? Holding on

Do you find it difficult to let things go? Are you a hoarder by nature? So often we carry unnecessary stuff! Most of us carry as many possessions as possible for feelings of security, familiarity, identity. Who knows the reason? Seldom do we really know it ourselves! Its not long before it becomes apparent they can slow us down! We are encumbered rather than empowered. Often the things we hold onto are for sentimental attachments to the past. Location, Location, Location

The wilderness is an inhospitable place to settle. It is more a place between here and there than a destination. In the OT it was the place where the children of Israel wandered for an unnecessarily long period of time. What kept them out of their promised land? Lack of faith! Added to this, their grumbling and complaining kept them in a defeatist attitude. They didn’t settle happily. We are seldom happy when we lose sight of our promised land. Attention!

I have had this interesting anomaly  for weeks now. Nearly every time I look to see what the time is, day or night, it is often displayed as identical digits. 10:10 or 05:05 etc. Sometimes  certain times  suggest a scripture. 3:33 as everyone knows (Jeremiah ‘ Call to Me and I will answer!) yet somehow I didn’t feel this was the case.
