‘If’s and but’s’…. and yet.

The best ‘if’ in the Bible is ‘If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 But, some say, Will  He?  Yet, say others, He says He will!  If He who promises is faithful but we do not  trust Him  still He will be true to His Word to those who will yet wait, trust and obey.

Look Up!

Isn’t it funny We all think big and expansive if asked what we wish for. And yet often the greatest pleasure comes  from the little things. A flower opening A fledgling performing acrobatics  at the bird feeder A baby’s chuckle. One doesn’t need an expensive holiday  to watch the sun set, or rise in all its glory. The sky is everywhere and anywhere. You just need to look up! This is our admonition too When distressing things surround us. When times are dark and perilous.  We look to our Hope that is steadfast and certain.   Luke 21:28

The Great Antidote

For all the negative trials in life  Jesus is the antidote.  He offers  Healing for sickness Forgiveness for sin Peace in turbulent times Hope in despair Comfort in sad times Security in dangerous situations The list is endless.  How to access such promises?  Spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  The clue is in the words  ‘gifts and fruit of the spirit.’  1 Cor 12:7-11/Gal 5:22 Only believe.
