Stepping Stones

Sometimes the road is rocky and the way steep  to gain the ground.  Put down markers.  Remembrance stones.  Each time an obstacle is overcome,  build an altar.  These could become the roadmap  for others desiring to  follow in the way.  Someone showed you the way.  You didn’t travel alone.  Help came at those difficult points.    Whether you turn to the right or to the left,  your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,  “This is the way; walk in it.”    Is. 30:21

Not Alone, In Good Company

We all have times when  instead of feeling befriended  we can feel friendless.  It isn’t always that others have deserted us It is often that deep needs surface And with the best will in the world  people cant meet them. Sometimes we keep such feelings  so secret they couldn’t possibly know. In such times there is One who knows before we say a word. The One who reads our hearts. Who 2000 years ago sent His son To bear our sins and sorrows And from that very day All down the ages Sends His Holy Spirit To comfort all  who mourn. John 14:16

Permission

If you don’t give yourself permission to fail You may never dare to try something new. One’s comfort zone Can be constructed with barriers Barring the way to originality Giving unique expression To your individuality Conforming to the average Instead of raising the bar. Valuing man’s  acceptance Instead of  pleasing God By walking the destiny He carved out for you  Jer. 29:11

Can you trust Emotions?

Emotions hold promise Fear anticipates the promise of something bad  Joy anticipates the promise of something good. No wonder God said ‘fear not’ so frequently. And what promises lay behind those words? That no matter what, He will never leave us or forsake us. That No weapon formed against us will prosper.  That He that is for us is greater than He that is against us.  That all things work together for good. The rule is fear not, only believe.  Deut 31:6/ Is.54:7/ 1John 4:4/ Rom 8:28
